Remember the eternal question of “If you had three magic wishes, what would you wish for?” I remember the exact moment I knew… I was 10, and I knew I only needed one wish. I wished that I knew everything. Specifically, that I could ask a question inside my head, and that I would immediately have the answer. I thought of it then as kind of a direct line to spirit/god/ess/universe. Well, I'm realizing that my wish is true, and what's more, that it's true for everyone. Some of us just choose not to listen all the time. (I include myself in that).

My passions are dance, nature and my daughter Adira. I love dance for the feeling of getting out of your brain for awhile, of using your body to carve your reality out of space and time. I feel closer to belly dance than other forms - not that it's better, it just resonates more for me. I love nature for it's grounding support, the fresh air, the knowing that whatever happens life continues. And then there's my little peanut-butter, Adira. A wooden monkey, almost two, she is my spot of sunshine. I never thought parenting would bring such joy into my life.

I'm in a period of re-creation. We all have multiple lives in our one life, and right now I am in the process of making myself anew, again. Exciting and daunting, the pure potentiality is overwhelming. I am taking a class on Interfaith Spirituality and learning how to become a Spiritual Counselor. I love it. It's hard to say just how much I love it. I feel I have found my calling - even though I'm not sure what form it will really take. Hooray for mystery!
